Evening all!
Hope you all had lovely Easters and days off. I went to Liverpool (the Wirral) to stay with my better half’s parents and had an amazing weekend, some of which, I have decided to share with you!
Last Saturday we visited Tatton Park to browse it’s stunning gardens and mansion house. It was a beautifully sunny and warm not too cold day and perfect for an inspiring trip to a dreamland so I bought along my big camera and thought I’d share our viewings!

I loved the old fashioned car fair ride! |
We did choose the busiest day to go – a sunny Saturday during Easter weekend- it was packed! Oops… it didn’t effect me though, I was just busy enjoying being out and about and the beautiful surroundings.

The pineapple house |
|
I’m considering doing this with my new fruit trees. |
|
There wasn’t a lot of plant life to see but the structures and layout of the gardens is brilliant. |
|
Miss Tiggy Winkle’s Washing Line! |
|
It was Beatrix Potter week so lots of random items for kids (and me) to do a Peter Rabbit trail!
|
We all thought these stumps were carved to look like meercats… but on closer inspection- they weren’t. |
|
But these WERE squirrels… walking across the pond like in Squirrel Nutkin! |
|
There was a beautiful Japanese Garden |

|
Tatton House is a bit nice too… |

The Orangery… |
|
Where I excitedly found actual flowers! |
I’m a bit in love with these… Does anyone know what they are called?!
|
There was a craft fair on and I escaped with only a zebra scarf as a present so I did well not to spend all my money! |
I’ll show you a sneak peek into the house as I don’t know if I was allowed to take pictures!
*If not, I will take them down immediately*
It was stunning…
OK that’s enough for now! Go see it all for yourself!
Well that turned out to be a lot more picture heavy than I wanted but I was actually quite proud of how my photography has come along so there were much more usable shots for eyes to see than normal and now it’s 2am and I’ve hardly said anything!
Oh well, next time I will.
For now… sleep beckons.
Oh, I made my first ever soup today – Carrot & Sweet Potato, it turned out rather good, although I know what to change for next time and then I’ll share the recipe with you all! 🙂
Nighty nightkins,

Looks like a perfect day: fairy tale garden, a mansion & a craft fair! Lovely photos. Great close ups of the flowers.
I think that pretty pink leafed plant is called Rex Begonia.
When will those damsons be ready? Or do you want to keep them this year?
