Good day sunshine!
I’m so happy to be nominated for the Liebster Award (blog awards) by the lovely Jenni of www.daydreamsandsunshine.blogspot.co.uk it really made my day as I love my blog dearly but I’m not that aware if other people love it or even read it… (apart from my wonderful friends and family) so to have a nod from a fellow crafty blogger is a wonderfully exciting accomplishment for me. THANKYOU JENNI!!
So with this amazing accolade I have questions to answer and then a little list of who I want to pass it onto next and questions for them! So first my Q&A…
1 – Why do you blog?
I guess it’s a creative output for me that keeps me inspired and excited. I love writing and sharing stories and the connections I get with online commmunities as a blogger. Also, for me, it’s a great way to motivate myself to make, learn and discover things to keep my blog and life interesting!
2 – Favourite Sunday afternoon pass time
Ah, I have a very ‘early granny’ Sunday ritual… it starts with car boot sale hunting (or sometimes selling) then a big roast lunch at my folks followed by a lazy dog walk, little nap and then play along Antiques Road Show… so rock n roll!! 😉
3 – Dinner party meal of choice
Chicken fajitas are my favourite thing to cook when people are over as they delicious and easy to serve to lots of people! I love cooking but often take on way too much when preparing for a party so end up at 9pm still in the kitchen while everyone else in the other room… oops! Fajitas keep me out of the kitchen and in the party room! Also, we have a tiny flat and no kitchen/dining table so it’s all about finger foods.
4 – Best Crafting tip
Go for it – try everything. I have learnt that everything can be unpicked, unravelled, redone or just an error that you learn from and that it’s not the end of the world when something so goes wrong – which leads me onto another thing… my favourite new tool is fabric powder that fixes anything!! 🙂
5 – Favourite blog post
Ooh tough one… well I actually think I’m getting better as a blogger each post so the last one is always my favourite as I’m reaching to more people and have achieved bigger, better things but if I had to choose one post that makes me happiest it’s when I revealed our garden all finished, complete with the new summerhouse (where I now do all my sewing)! My blog used to be all about doing up the garden and flat and that took three years of back breaking work to do so I’m very proud of it!! Oh and the one when I announced my engagement!! 🙂
