Well good morning daisies!
I haven’t blogged here properly in a while and used to love my ‘Friday Funday’ posts back when this was a young, fresh blog and mainly about DIY things. As I’m about to take on another big DIY project (more on that later) and it got me reminiscing about me and the blog running through the fields, the wind in our hair – laughing for no particular reason. Now I think the blog and I sit further away from each other at the table and occasionally look up- but not at the same time. So, dammit, I’m not letting it go flirt with some other blogger- I’m going to make it work!!
One thing I do struggle with is finding the time to actually sit down and write blogs and mainly, have pictures to blog with but excuses, excuses- we always have PINTEREST! I am constantly inspired by Pinterest so I thought I would share them with you.
Today… the sewing space and in particular… Sewing Storage!
I really need a rejiggle of my sewing space- both the Summerhouse and my space under the bed as there just isn’t enough storage!
So firstly – the Summerhouse:
This is the only picture I have where you can actually see what’s going on here as it’s mainly a complete tip of bags, and piles of stuff on and around it! I’m planning on moving out this second table and replacing it with a big ole storage solution for patterns, notions and trimmings like these…

So it might be a trip to IKEA for the Expedit or I’ll have to be patient (yeah right!) and keep an eye out for something special at car boot sales, markets etc. I’m not very good at being patient… 😉
And for the underbed space…
That mirror has got to go and I wonder if you can guess what I want to replace it with?! The cliche, but quite rightly so, of sewing spaces… PEGBOARD!!
Ooooh I have wanted a pegboard for as long as I can remember and they finally becoming more available in the UK. I reckon IKEA will have one by 2017 too! (Wanna place bets?!!)
And that DIY project I mentioned earlier is building another summerhouse- opposite mine, this time for the Mister. Yes, we are going to have Mr & Mrs Sheds! How twee are we?!
Right off to get cement to lay down the base!

Matching sheds! I kind of love that you have a she-shed (I only just found out that she sheds are a female equivalent to a man cave. I’m a bit behind).
Peg board might be a bit cliched now but I love the look of it and it’s practical. It seems there’s nothing you can’t hang from it.
You are so lucky to be first in line for a shed; we have two sheds, one for his bicycles and one for his tools, and I dare not set foot in either. However I do have my eye on our attic though the drawback is having to climb a steep ladder to get to into it via a small ceiling hatch. Meanwhile I am doing an enforced tidy of the library/computer/office/wardrobe/ironing/sewing room because somewhere in it are 3 items I took out of a rucksack in May and I will need to pack them again soon. How is it possible that they disappeared without trace!?- this is the second day of searching. But I have found some fabric that I had forgotten so it is not all bad.
