Well hello you lovely lot!
How have you been? I’ve been a bit out of sorts – kind of ill, kind of not – annoying dizziness and stuff but I’m powering through and I wanted to get a blog out this week, before I slip back into my bad blogging ways!
I thought I’d update you on how I’m getting on with my Wardrobe Architect Challenge so far… and, well, let’s put it this way – most of the other bloggers doing it have been amazingly organised and regimented in their challenge and I have… not. I’m just not built that way!! But I have done bits and pieces… if and when I can…
I have cleared out my wardrobe! I took out all the pieces that –
- have fitting issues
- never got worn
- aren’t me or fit into my core style
I have filled in all the worksheets about my
- Core style
- Preferred shapes
- Colour charts
My colour palette is so predictable… 😉
I have designed some simple collages of my core style, shapes and colour:
And
I have been sorting through all my fabric and patterns so that they fit into all the above!
So not too bad and I am learning a lot from it and loving my more streamlined wardrobe.
In other news… I totally hit the sewing jackpot with my birthday presents this year – I love that my loved ones have really taken to getting me sewing stuff… yay! I got the new The Great British Sewing Bee: Fashion with Fabric book (so good!), Famous Frocks: The Little Black Dress: Patterns for 20 Garments Inspired by Fashion Icons (I want to make every one!) another Kaboodle Plus
(which are changing my life with their ingenious storage solutions) AND an incredible bumper trip to Abakhan fabric shop in Chester where I walked out with an obscene amount of unbelievable fabric… this place is SO CHEAP and SO SO GOOD! So now I need to have some time to sewwwwwww… I believe this Saturday has ‘sewing day’ written all over it!! 🙂
And that’s how all… for now!
